Washington – Shelters

 Whether you’re looking for a shelter because your child or you are in an abusive situation or because you’re on the verge of becoming homeless, or because you’re in search for a pet. Whatever type of shelter you’re looking for, there’s dozens of choices to choose from. If you’re bringing a furry companion into the household for your child and you, it has been proven that pets can increase happiness and lifespan. Now if it’s a more serious situation, the important thing to remember is it’s not your fault and there is help for you.

No matter what you’re looking for, I’m hoping this article will provide you with some helpful resources that could help you. Now while a few options will be listed, just remember there are dozens of helpful resources all over for you.

Rescue Every Dog R.E.D Alert

This animal rescue is a volunteer program dedicated to saving the lives of rescues but it also has an adoption page which is why it’s on the list. It lists a lot of information and is mainly for dog adoptions but you may be able to find information about cats as well, or at least information about where you can find a cat.

Washington Homeless Shelters

This provides a list of homeless shelters in every county for those who need it. This is good for anyone because it has all counties listed and can be helpful to anyone who is in danger of becoming homeless.

Domestic Violence Services

Now this is a list of domestic violence services available for women and their children in different areas of Washington. If you have a problem involving domestic violence, this might be a good site for you to look at and you might want to consider calling the numbers or visiting the locations listed to see how they can help you.

Washington Women’s Shelters

Not only is this a list but you can search for shelters available by zip code for your children and you. If you don’t know of any shelters around you and you need a place for you and your kids, this a good website to look at for reference.

Homeward Pet Adoption
Location: Woodinville, Washington

This is an animal shelter but this time it is meant for dogs and cats, and it is located in Woodinville, WA. Not only can you donate to help their center but they also have options to get your animal micro chipped when you adopt one. They have a few options for you to choose whether it’s a dog or cat and if you check every so often, they update their website.

If you do a web search, you’ll find a lot of informational links such as this. Don’t be afraid to use the internet to your advantage and explore all the shelters available to you. If you’re in a life threatening situation, call your local authorities and get your children and yourself out of the situation. If you’re running the risk of going homeless, ask around the community if you have limited access to the internet. If it’s something as simple as searching for a pet, there are many shelters and rescues out there for you to consider.
