Washington – Employment

Whether you’re recently out of work or just exploring your options on another job, or are just wanting a new career start, it can be hard finding a job. It’s hard on everyone, single or not but when you are a single mother with children, your income is the only come and you have to provide for your kids and yourself. As hard as it is, finding a job isn’t impossible although at times it does feel like quite an impossible task. Patience is hard to have in times like these when you need a job or want a job change to make your life easier and happier.

While Washington has it’s good times and bad times with hiring as far as jobs go, there are options out there and I’m in hopes that this article will help provide you with some help. If nothing else, it will enlighten you and make you aware about some of the less known options you can search for employment at.

Careers WA: Look for Jobs
website: http://agency.governmentjobs.com/washington/default.cfm
Here is the first option I will list for you to consider. You click what category and department you want to work in, then you click what location/ county you’re in. Then you search and see what options it brings for you. You can even put in your annual salary requirements and see if you get any results based on that too.

Washington State Community and Technical College System Jobs Search
website: http://www.sbctc.ctc.edu/college/_hr-jobsearch.aspx
With this website, it’s only for certain people and will only list certain jobs but it certainly is an option for those interested in it. You can decide what college you want to work in, what region you want to look in, the position type, and the discipline which is like the category. Then once you put all that information in, search and see what results it brings up for you.

Washington, Seattle Job Searches
website: http://www.washjob.com/
As you may or may not know, this has several links to a page that lists companies that have help wanted listings. This is good to take a look at, even if only for resourceful purposes, and maybe you might find something useful here.

Washington Federal Jobs
website: http://federalgovernmentjobs.us/job-location/washington-wa.html
This is another one that only has certain jobs and only certain people can qualify for but I wanted to include a variety of different job sites, even if some were a little different just in case it did interest someone. This is for those interested in federal government programs and any requirements you need to meet will be listed in the job information. Not many trust the government but their jobs offer great benefits more times than not and if you are interested, it would be good to have those kind of benefits.

Go2WorkSource: Washington
website: https://fortress.wa.gov/esd/worksource/
This is another search option for you to consider and not half bad either. You put in your location, what type of occupation you want to work in, whether you want a part time job, and you can choose among a few other options as well. This is definitely a website you might want to consider taking a look at.

These are only a few of the many job searching websites out there and if you do a good internet search, you can find many more options like this. Use all available resources you have and if the internet isn’t your best option, check and see when a job fair is happening, and go to one of those. A lot of people have found jobs that way. Whatever you do, don’t lose faith that you will find something.
