Pennsylvania – Colleges

Pennsylvania is a wonderful and has a lot of things to take into consideration and colleges is one of those things you need to consider. Whether you’re looking for yourself or helping your son/ daughter choose a college, there is a lot to think about when choosing your perfect college. Either way, you do have a lot of options and you do have a lot to look at when choosing a college to attend.

While knowing the options are out there, sometimes the search can be a frustrating one to say the least and I certainly understand that frustration. I do hope this small list will help you narrow your options down or at least give you some options if you have none yet.

Penn State University

This university is in University Park, PA and one of the best options to consider. It has large offerings in choices for programs and degrees and you can rest assured that you will find something here. For sports fans, the athletic teams are very active and tend to compete often so you don’t have to worry about inactive sports teams.

Carnegie Mellon University

This university is located in Pittsburgh, PA. This college has some of the top rated science and engineering programs in the state. It has strengths in research and it is known for quality academics so you won’t have to worry about the quality. This one is definitely worth taking a look at and seeing if this one is a fit for you.

Swarthmore University

This university is a private liberal arts college and it is located in Swarthmore, PA. This makes the list as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the United States and provides quality education. It has strong liberal arts and science opportunities and gives you a chance to take classes at neighborhood colleges.

Dickinson College

This college is located in Carlisle, PA and is known for strong liberal arts and sciences. It has a number of programs to choose from, along with 12 study centers and the programs are known to be of high quality. The charm of the college seems to be part of its appeal and the students enjoy the student life.

Lafayette College

This is a great college in Easton, PA and is said to be excellent value. There are different programs to choose from but it is known for its engineering, sciences, and liberal arts programs. You get a good value for your buck if you decide on this college so it’s definitely worth a consideration.

Now while this was a small list and I only listed a few options, there are several great colleges out there for you to consider in the state of Pennsylvania. Just weigh the pros and cons of each college, and decide what you can live with or without. Always do your research and with patience, I have no doubt you’ll find exactly what works for you if you give the extra time.
