Unfortunately families can’t survive without having a job nowadays. It’s always been that way but it’s significantly worse now for families and singles alike. This is especially true if you’re a single mother and caring for a child as well as others bills and costs. The costs of everyday living are already high enough but having a child makes it twice as worse. Depending on where in North Carolina you live, it can be pricey too and you can afford to be without a job for any amount of time.
Companies are being cautious but some of them are hiring. Some of them are being more picky about who they choose while others are being more generous. Unfortunately all you can do is keep applying but before you do that, I’ll go through the pros and cons of some of these job searching websites. A lot of them are legit, good options but some of them don’t seem to provide much success for you.
Career builders: This is one of the most obvious choices and for a good reason. It has a lot of options and some of these options pay well if you can manage to land them. Most people do have some kind of work experience so you’re most likely to find something here. The downfall is there are a lot of jobs that require degrees and they won’t consider you if you don’t have those degrees despite what experience you may have. If you have no experience, it’s hard to find a job with this website, not impossible but hard.
Snagajob: Snagajob is another good site to consider if you’re looking for a job. It lists a good amount of jobs, even if you don’t have much experience, you’re sure to find something here. However, if you’re looking for more opportunities that pay more, while this site will give you options, you might want to try other job searching websites.

Indeed: Now this is another good option to consider searching for jobs. It provides a variety of jobs for both experienced workers and non-experienced workers. The problem with this one is more of a problem if you’re looking for specific jobs instead of anything that meets your income requirements. Some people don’t like the way the website looks or works.
Monster: Now this one is similar to career builders and it offers similar choices, though there may be some different choices too. The complaints are about the same as what you would hear about career builders and some people even say they don’t have a lot of luck with this site. However others say they have had luck with this site.
Local Classifieds: If you look in the jobs section, you can find jobs sometimes. Sometimes people have found their jobs this way. The complaints would be about what you would expect from things like some things didn’t sound legit to there’s not a lot of variety in the jobs.
Now don’t feel discouraged if this list didn’t give you any ideas or help you get any further in your job searching process. It does take time and a lot of searching for some people and I suggest using keywords, and including your area in your search. Don’t be afraid to search and explore the options available to you.
