Dallas, Tx – General Assistance

With the rising costs of over the last few years, it’s hard to keep up financially. This is definitely true when prices keep rising in certain markets and this is also true when you’re a single parent. It’s understandable, keeping up with bills and costs isn’t easy to do anymore and really it never was but it is especially difficult nowadays. Not only are the financial situations difficult but the mental and emotional stress is difficult as well.

Luckily for you, there are options for you to turn to and there are ways you can get help without borrowing loans for bills and adding yet another bill. I’m devised this article to make you aware of your options and perhaps help you ease some stress from your mind.

This website is a list of assistance programs Dallas County has to offer, some of which may be included in this list. This is a good informational website to take a look at for an idea of what kind of help you can get and what Dallas can offer you.

This is another list, yes another list, but this time it’s of Financial assistance resources you can look into. It has the addresses, phone numbers, and what kind of aid they provide for you. The reason I’m including lists in here is because sometimes one program won’t work for you so if that does happen, you have the option to try another program.

This one is not a list for once, instead they specialize in helping with all your housing troubles. Whether you’re in need of a place or rental, or mortgage assistance, they can help you. All you have to do is select what kind of help you need and follow the simple instructions and they’ll see what they can do for you, if anything (which usually they can).

Now this one is not a financial solution, I will state that right now. Instead, this is a non-profit organization based in Dallas, TX who specialize in helping single parents with resources, emotional encouragement, and advice. Let’s be honest, being a single parent isn’t easy and it’s hard when everything is stressful so this is a good assistance site for advice and emotional support.

Single Parents Foundation

This program is designed to help single parents who need assistance in emergency situations. Now some of their links don’t work but I was already one step ahead of you and I inquired about that, and it turns out they are constantly updating their site so they are working on that. They seem to be on top of things and they appear to really empathize with single parents and their struggles to make it. This is a good option for you single parents and it’s something you should take into consideration if you have more than one child.

Family Transitions Programs

This program offers services that are meant to help single parents who are enrolled an education or vocational program, according to its site. I will admit I haven’t extensively explored this website but from what I have seen, it appears to be a good option for parents in an educational programs. According to the website, they offer services from like a safe living place to counseling services. It’s a good site to check out and if you have questions, they do have a contact link under the about me link.

I hope these options help you in some way, shape, or form, even if you don’t use these options. This does give you an idea of what kind of programs and assistance is out there and hopefully you take advantage of what is available to you.
