If nothing else, you can say you gave it a shot but it does provide good information for those who are paying rent.

Connecticut’s Temporary Family Assistance

Now this program focuses on temporary family assistance for families who qualify. This website explains the programs, explains how you qualify and tells you where to go to sign up for the program. Temporary assistance is temporary cash and it’s good to help families get back on their feet.

Now this program is designed to help families with their heating bills during cold times. While it won’t pay your whole bill, it will help lower your bill, making it easier for you to adjust your money and make other bills more affordable. It’s definitely worth checking out if nothing else and maybe this is something you can use.

I do recommend you do more research on the program(s) you’re interested in, just to make sure it’s the right program for you. It may take some time to be accepted after you sign up for the initial program but just be patient and if you have to, you can call the office and stress the severity of the situation.
