No matter what type of shelter you’re looking for, there are many options out there for you if you just find the time to look for them. Whether it’s a domestic violence shelter, a homeless shelter, or an animal shelter you are after, Colorado has many shelters available for you. I know the search can be frustrating and sometimes can be time consuming but if you can spare the time, it will be worth it.
While knowing this, it doesn’t make you feel any less impatient and I can understand that. Especially when you’re receiving a lack of results after constant internet searches. This option is for those who are on the verge of becoming homeless or who are homeless. No matter what the reason is for, this place can help you and your children find shelter. They try their best to make you comfortable and there’s nothing to feel ashamed about while staying here.

This is another option for battered women and children and it also has a crisis line. It offers a variety of services and support groups and can find some kind of support for you if you need it. They offer different types of help and if you are in the area and think you need help of some type, don’t hesitate on giving them a call.
Foothills Animal Shelter
Location: Golden, CO
This is an animal shelter available to residents in Golden, CO. They have a variety of pets and decent pricing for their pets as well so you don’t have to worry too much about overpriced pets. They also have little events and ways to donate to their shelter if you choose.
Now admittedly this list wasn’t the biggest list ever but it’s meant as an example of what is out there and what is available to you. All you have to do is search to find more options for you to choose from and if you’re patient, you’ll find something. Whatever type of shelter you’re looking for, don’t give up, just continue the search and stay hopeful.
