Arizona College scholarships for Single moms

Many of the Arizona state colleges offer scholarship programs for continuing education of single moms. This helps the single moms to afford the high school as well as graduate degree at a pretty low cost. Scholarships may be State or Federal funded. Some private Universities also offer these kids of scholarships to the single mom students who show excellence in their education.

Jeannette Rankin Fund Scholarships
Application Deadlines: March 01, Annually
Each fall, Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to low-income women, ages 35 and older, who have a vision of how a college education will benefit themselves, their families and their communities. The scholarships are open to students pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate’s degree or a first bachelor’s degree.

Patsy Takemoto Mink Foundation Scholarship
Application Deadlines: August 01, Annually
Established in 2003, the Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation aims to carry on some of Congresswoman Mink’s most ardent commitments: educational access, support, and opportunity for low-income women, especially mothers; and educational enrichment for children. To be eligible for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria: – Must be a woman of at least 17 years of age.

Arizona Business & Professional Women’s Foundation Scholarships
Application Deadlines: March 01, Annually
Scholarships are awarded to women 25 years old or older who are starting or returning to a community college or trade school in Arizona to advance their career/job opportunities. Applications are available online or through your community college financial aid office and must be postmarked on or before March 1st .

Women’s Opportunity Award (Washington, DC)
Application Deadlines: December 15, Annually
Soroptimist International of Washington, DC is seeking applicants for its recognition program targeted to young women who make the community and world a better place. The Women’s Opportunity Award honors women who are working to better their lives through additional skills training and education. The award is aimed at improving the lives of women by giving them the resources they need to improve.

The Women’s Opportunity Award seeks to recognize and support women who are pursuing additional skills, training and education. This $2,000 cash award helps women who are the primary wage earners for their families to enter or return to the workforce or to improve their employment status. Eligibility: The award is open to women demonstrating financial need who provide the primary financial.
